When photographing in Iceland in 2004 I was struck by the bright colors of many of the buildings in the landscape. In all the years of my photographing (38 years at that time) I had never photographed in color, nor had any desire to do so. I vowed that I would not return to Iceland without some color film for my 8x10 camera.

The color photographs here were made in 2006 and 2010.
